As some of you may be aware we have been working hard during the spring and summer months to prepare ourselves for our Newcastle under Lyme Council entry into the school garden competition for when the judges visited in June.
On Saturday the results were announced and we were awarded Gold in the Community Gardens Competition and Best Eco School.
The Judges said:-
“After returning to the competition last year following building work, the Coppice Academy in Newcastle has been named “Best Eco School” for their tree planting, wildflower meadow, wildlife habitats, new pond area and enthusiastic pupils who take great pride in their environment.”
